Mr. Imre Margitics passed away early Friday morning June 19, 2020. He was 84 years old. Mr. Margitics was born in Hungary and was educated there in a parochial school. Immigrated to the United States in 1956 and lived in Long Island for a time. He was employed by Grand Union and worked his way up to be a manager. He proudly and faithfully served our country in the United States Army from 1966-1968.

He returned to Hungary and married the love of his life Ilona. After marrying the couple moved to New Brunswick in 1975. They have resided in North Brunswick since 1992 (1997). Mr. Margitics retired early, having health problems, from Sanyo/Fischer Electronics in Edison as a warehouse foreman.

Mr. Margitics was a man of principals, but a loving man and a gentleman. He had shown equal love for his native Hungary and also for his adopted country, the US. He and Ilona traveled extensively in Europe and crossed our country numerous times. He enjoyed riding bicycles and motorcycles and was a model train enthusiast.

He was pre deceased by his brother Paul and is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Ilona Margitics and a brother Miklos in Hungary along with his nieces and nephews and extended family.
