Diane L. Calvo


Diane Calvo passed away on Thursday morning at her home in Somerset. She was 66 years old.

Mrs. Calvo was born in Laurel, Maryland and lived there as a child. She moved to New Jersey and then graduated from South Brunswick High School in 1969. She moved to Franklin Township in 1978. She loved going to the beach, shopping, cooking and nothing more than having her family together. Family and friends revered her as the life of the party. She was employed for twenty years by the Franklin Township Board of Education as an Executive Secretary/Registrar.

Mrs. Calvo was predeceased by her parents, George and Mary Castle. She was also predeceased by her son, Daniel Calvo, in 2012.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Herman Calvo, of Somerset and her daughter, Amber Sincak, of Hightstown. She is also survived by her brother, Greg Castle and his wife, Melanie, of Arizona, step-children, Chris Calvo and his wife, Malisa, of Somerset, Kelli Marshall (Calvo) and her husband, Scott, of New Hampshire and daughter-in-law, Brianne Calvo, of Florida, 2 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren, 2 step great grandchildren and 2 nieces.

The family would also like to thank Cindy Karwoski and her family for the years spent by Diane’s side and the tireless dedication to Diane’s care.

Visiting will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. A funeral service will begin at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Please arrive by 10:15. Committal services will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in East Millstone. Please consider a contribution in Mrs. Calvo’s name to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org
