Mrs. Mary Giannotto passed away on Wednesday at her home in Somerset. She was 81 years old.

Mrs. Giannotto was born in New Brunswick. She graduated New Brunswick High School, Class of 1956 and moved to Somerset in 1963. She has resided in Somerset since then.

Mary spent most of her time raising her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and even family friends. Mrs. Giannotto was a true matriarch to her entire family and even to those with no blood relation. Everyone who knew her enjoyed her company and appreciated the efforts she made to make people comfortable. Mary hoasted many pick nicks and holiday gatherings that she will alway be remembered for. She was an office manager for many years at the family business, Hamilton Rentals in Somerset

She is pre deceased by her husband Jack, a granddaughter Naomi Giannotto, 5 sisters and 3 brothers.

She is survived by her ten children and their spouses Jack Jr and Maria of Elizabeth, Anthony and Merri of Somerset, William and Patricia of Somerset, Thomas and Diane of NC, Joseph and Mary of NC, Robert and Leona of VA, Roger of New Brunswick, Mary Francis of Somerset, Frank and Jennifer of North Brunswick, and Theresa and Peter Sugleris of NC, her sister Mildred Keating and brothers Charlie Holman and Herbie Holman, along with her 19 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

A funeral mass will take place on Wednesday September 6, 2018 at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church in New Brunswick at 10 AM. Services will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday at 9:15. Interment will follow mass at St. Peter’s Cemetery in New Brunswick. Visiting will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.
