Condolence: I always loved visiting the Haney household. It was exciting, full of discussion, activity and people. In the midst of it all was Aunt Pauline with her calm presence. She exuded a strength and kindness. Aunt Pauline was genuine which made it easy to talk with her. I felt like I was home with Aunt Pauline. She made you feel comfortable and loved. Aunt Pauline will be missed by all.

Condolence: The extraordinary thing about Pauline was that she always made everyone feel so special. I remember going to family gatherings in her house, and there would be people coming and going, food, animated conversation – lots of commotion – and in the midst of all that, she’d always take a moment, look you in the eye and ask you about your life. She made you feel like you were the only one in the room. It wasn’t practiced. That was Pauline. So thank you, Pauline, for always being so welcoming. You will be deeply missed.

Condolence: To all the Haney family, our deepest sympathies. Your mom (and Dad) were very special friends to my parents. My mom and Pauline loved to walk the neighborhood for exercise and companionship. My parents and yours went out to dinner at the Shrimp King often where they enjoyed talking sports and of course politics. They were very special friends and your mom will be missed. Pauline was quite the remarkable women, soft spoken and so intelligent! Our thoughts are with your family during this difficult time, it’s never easy losing a parent. The wonderful pictures I would see on FB always made me smile when I saw Pauline with various kids and grandchildren....it was always her family that brought joy to her life.
