Hilda Marie Saro passed away on Saturday May 26th at Tidewell Hospice of Venice at age 90.

Mrs. Saro was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and came to the mainland, United States as a young girl. She grew up and graduated high school in The Bronx, N Y. She raised her children in Brooklyn N Y and Edison N J prior to moving to Somerset in 1974. She later moved to Venice, Florida in 2010.

Mrs. Saro was employed for twenty five plus years by Revlon as an Administrative assistant in the Lab Department . After she retired, she worked at the local travel agency in Rutgers Plaza in Somerset.

She loved to dance and travel. She particularly enjoyed trips to Las Vegas and Branson, Missouri. She was a loving WIFE,MOTHER ,SISTER, grandmother and great grandmother who would refuse nothing to anyone. She had a wealth of friends whom she treated as family. Her famous words were : Mi casa es su casa.

She is pre deceased by her parents, Americo and Elena Lugo, son Richard Saro, brother Efrain Lugo and sister Anna Torres.

Mrs. Saro is survived by her son William Saro and his wife Patricia of Venice, FL and daughter Margie Kramer, of Clermont, FL. She is also survived by her brother Mario Lugo, grandchildren Jason, Anne, Melanie, Lauren and great grandchildren Ava, Lyra, Jackson, Titus, and Ellery. She also leaves behind a niece Yvonne as well as nephews Michael and Harold, great nephew Brandon and great niece Jennifer. She also had several other neices and nephews through marriage, great nieces, nephews and many cousins.

Visiting will be held on Sunday June 3 from 4-7 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset and on Monday June 4 from 9 AM -10:30 . A funeral mass will follow at 11 AM at St. Joseph R.C. Church Yorktown Road in Hillsborough. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
