Anita D. Klaiman passed away on Thursday at her home in Somerset.
Mrs. Klaiman was born in Boston and graduated from The Girls' Latin School. She earned her Bachelors degree in education and Masters degree in special education from Kean College. She was employed by the Clark, NJ Board of Education for 26 years, primarily as a special education teacher.
She loved the arts and frequently attended concerts and Broadway shows. She also enjoyed playing bridge and mahjong and socializing with her many friends in the community.
Mrs. Klaiman was predeceased by her husband David H. Klaiman in 2007.
She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Rubin and her husband David of Santa Cruz, CA, Carolyn Racusin and her husband Warren of Mendham,NJ, and Valerie Fleischer and her husband Daniel of Newton, MA, her 8 grandchildren, Ramona, Zan and his wife Rainbow, Rebecca and her husband Daniel, Eric and his wife Allyson, Zachary, Jill and her husband Matt, Douglas and his fiancé Lee, and Ali. She is also survived by her 3 great granddaughters, Flora, Arielle and Drew.
