Joseph Vincze


Mr. Joseph Vincze passed away on Friday April 27, 2018 at St. Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick. He was 84 years old.

Mr. Vincze was born in New Brunswick and graduated from New Brunswick High School. He furthered his education at Rutgers University, graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science in Accounting. He moved to Somerset 19 years ago.

He was employed for many years at Union Carbide in Bound Brook as a Lab Tech and later at Triangle Conduit and Cable in New Brunswick. He retired at 62 years of age.

He was a longtime parishioner of St. Ladislaus Church in New Brunswick and served as President of the Parish Council. He was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus and loved baking for St. Ladislaus Church during Easter and Christmas.
He was currently a parishioner at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Piscataway.

Mr. Vincze served as a New Brunswick City Councilman for eight years and was a true Rutgers University Basketball fan . He was an avid gardener.

He was pre deceased by his daughter Joann Vincze in 1958.

Mr. Vincze is survived by his wife of 60 years Mary Vincze of Somerset and his daughter Deborah Clyburn and her husband Frank of Piscataway. He is also survived by his sister Margaret Belso of New Brunswick and a grandson Joseph Clyburn of Piscataway.

Visiting will take place on Wednesday May 2, 2018 from 2-4and 7-9 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. Services will begin on Thursday at 9:15 AM on Thursday May 3, 2018 at the Gleason Funeral Home followed by a 10 AM funeral mass at St. Frances Cabrini Church in Piscataway. Interment will follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery in New Brunswick.
