Condolence: To Jim .... 'my old friend' my 'dear friend' ... i am SO glad we had those last 4 hours to chat, laugh, get a bit too loud, turn misty, recount old memories - and plan on making new ones ... As the Beach Boys' song goes "If every word I said could make you laugh ... I'd talk forever" ... Had i known, i never would have left ... Thank you for drawing me out of my shell, and teaching me how to reach out to others ... ya never do know what you'll find behind that locked door, do you? But there are an endless number of songs (and movies, and TV shows and comedy bits, etc.) to always remind me of you ... and make me life and smile You tried to tell me back in summer 1980 how great these lyrics below are and how they meant something to you ... it took me nearly 38 years to get it ... Rest well and until we see each other again ... "One of these days When my feet are on the ground I'm gonna look around and see See what's right, see what's there And breathe fresh air, ever after ...." One Of These Days - Written by Paul McCartney, From McCartney II
