Joyce Alice Kenneally born July 25th, 1935, passed away on April 5th, 2018 following cardio vascular illness.
Joyce is the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Alice Kenneally, who were born in Waterbury CT. They relocated to NJ in the 1930’s.
Joyce loved flowers and cooking. She was a graduate of Rutgers Preparatory School and Georgian Court College in Lakewood, NJ, where she studied Culinary Arts. She taught School in Finderne, NJ and later launched a career in the food industry. Joyce prepared foods used in TV commercials and other advertising. Her Burger King hamburger appeared on billboards and other advertisements around the world. She was also a food editor for Good Housekeeping and edited a Good Housekeeping Microwave cookbook. Later in life she worked for Franklin Township Library. She was an avid supporter of the Southwest Indian Foundation.
Joyce appreciated the kind assistance of her neighbors on Buffa Drive and care provided be Home Helper Somerset, especially Grace.
She is survived by her loving brother, Thomas D. Kenneally and his spouse Karen of Lakewood, WA; her niece, Kari Kenneally; her grand nieces, Stormy Kenneally and Madison Wahl and her grand nephews, Sean Kenneally.
Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, April 10th from 8:00 to 8:30 at Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset, NJ 08873.
A Funeral Mass will follow at 9:00 A.M. at St. Matthias Church in Somerset. Burial and committal service will continue at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
