Dolores A. Carter, 88, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2018 at her home in Somerset, New Jersey.

Mrs. Carter was born December 5, 1929 in Manhattan, NY the daughter of John and Blanch Fagan. She lived in Somerset for many decades.

Mrs. Carter was predeceased by her parents and three sisters Mary Fagan, Joan Sudeta, and Anna Bellina.

She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, James Carter of Somerset; her daughters, Gail Rotondo and her husband Frank of Brick, Dolores Bunker and her husband Robert of Peculiar, MO, Deborah Nelson and her husband Kenneth of Somerset, Christine Shalton and her husband Michael of Melbourne, FL, Theresa Hoagland and her husband Jeff of Franklin (Warren County), and Judy Moy and her husband Gregory of Laurel, MD; her sons, James, and Jeff and his wife Diane of Somerset; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother, John Fagan; and many nieces and nephews.

Dolores was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker, who provided a stable and nurturing home for her family. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Matthias in Somerset and was proud to volunteer her time in cleaning the Sanctuary for many years. She was also a member of the Franklin Township Seniors Club. Above all, Dolores cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

Family and friends may visit on Friday, March 23rd from 4-8 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset, New Jersey 08873.

Funeral Mass will begin at 9 AM on Saturday, March 24th at St. Matthias Church in Somerset. Committal Service will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Piscataway.
