Olga "Aunt Honey " Kozielec
Olga “Aunt Honey” Kozielec, 94, died Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
Mrs. Kozielec was born May 14, 1923 in New Brunswick, New Jersey to the late George and Mary (Nemeth) Zavecz. She lived in New Brunswick for many years before relocating and settling in North Brunswick in 1985.
Olga worked for Johnson and Johnson in New Brunswick for 46 years; she started as a Hand Assembler and worked her way up as a Manager of the J&J Employee Store before her retirement. She was a longtime parishioner at St. Mary’s of Mount Virgin Church. She was also a member of the Italian American Social Club of North Brunswick and participated in the many Annual Carnevale Italiano festivals as well as being a dedicated volunteer for the North Brunswick Democratic Organization. Olga was an avid gardener and loved all animals.
Mrs. Kozielec was preceded in death by her Husband, Stanley Kozielec; her brothers, Henry and Joseph Zavecz and her sisters, Julia Orosz, Mary Zavecz, Elsie Geresy, and Irene Hughes.
She is survived by her Nieces, Dorthy Mathieu, Barbara Welter, Mary Ann Pankowski, Patricia Seckler, Donna Miglin and Evelyn Lynch and many grand nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Gleason Funeral Home 1360 Hamilton Street, Somerset, NJ 08873 on Sunday, January 28th from 3-6 P.M.
Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 29th at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary of Mount Virgin Church in New Brunswick. Entombment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park Mausoleum in North Brunswick.
