Michael A. Dalessio

Michael A. Dalessio - a resident of Somerset passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 16, 2018. He was 69 years old. Born in Hoboken and raised in Newark, Michael graduated from Xavier High School in New York City and earned a Bachelor of Science from Seton Hall University. Michael worked in construction for over 35 years, most of them as Senior Director, Construction Services with Mack-Cali Realty Corporation.
Michael was the beloved husband of Annette Dalessio (nee Rubino), loving father to Gina Marie Dalessio and her husband Robert Maikis, Christine Dalessio and husband Murray Blehart. Michael’s greatest joy was as a grandfather to Michael Julius and John Philip Dalessio. Michael was a loyal brother to John Dalessio and his wife Kathie, Sister Elizabeth Dalessio, MPF, Joan Dalessio, and Therese Butler and her husband Thomas. Michael also leaves behind an extended family of loving nieces and nephews and their children, as well as many cousins and dear friends.
Michael was predeceased by his parents, John and Grace (nee: Badaracco), stepmother Elise P. Dalessio (nee Clark) and sister Mary K. Dalessio.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 19 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton St. Somerset, NJ 08873. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 20 at 12 Noon at St. Matthias Church 168 John F. Kennedy Boulevard, Somerset, NJ 08873 . Please go directly to church on Saturday. There will be no services at the funeral home Saturday morning.
